Everything in relationship contains forces that seem mutually exclusive and at the same time depend on one another.
the shady side of the hill is mutually interdependent with the sunny side.

ball and lance- two opposite states of the same stuff, like water and vapour
nothing in the world escapes this opposition
it is the force of this inner contradiction that is the motive of all change, development and decay.
The ball lance balance relationship
is normally in balance
a complementary unity
one contains the seed of the other
nothing is entirely one or the other, they are inseparable
they transform into each other cyclically.
this is called the way

there are four possible states of
out of balance
too much ball, shade, yin, contraction.
too much lance, sun, yang, expansion.
weakness of ball- not enough water, shade, material.
weakness of lance- not enough fire, sun, energy.
remember when conditions are right, ball and lance transform into each other

what is a shaman?

Many academics go with the flow of definitions springing from fellow anthropologist Mircea's dry unverified interpretations and miss the mark entirely.
A huge market of new age "shamans" exists. this methinks is at best shamanizing and not the actual thing originally encountered by early anthropologist from our culture.With esotericsm and meditation and prayer often there is an immature tendency to want to instead da da da daaa save the world when faced with very humble beginning work and many develop their egos with shamanic personas then exploitation and marketing follow shortly. All religions may be ego trips.
Now everywhere on earth before modern culture changed it, people existed in ways resonant with survival that had developed, one could deduce, at least in some cases, from the beginning of cultural knowledge, unique to the whole character of the people as manifestations of that space. The unbroken esoteric(dealing with the invisible ) lineages that have survived among these original cultures may have among them a station that has the title shaman or its local variation.

This is most likely the most precious resource on earth and may be remnants from when conditions were present for contact with higher dimension and our culture destroys these ways of living in harmony with the space around us instead of being respectful of the preciousness of original culture and helping the people transit to our world while learning from their most honorable knowledge and wisdom bearers and teachers , gratefully. Of course the relatively short existence of our culture compared to the original ones coupled with the fact that every nation is obviously bankrupt may also interest one in cultures that have managed to live here from the beginning. This is one way of seeing what is going on here now but it to is of course b.s. too. Fully agree with all you see participate! It is the only way to know.

This summ wuz greatnesses Sacred Toronto Lady

Merry garbage strike time let the stones and rubble stay put on queen st. for many days in a row. I would show up and be delighted to find that unknown people had already sat down and rebuilt cairns and marvellous assemblages using all the materials. This was a definite high for me- very inspiring. This time of leaving the rocks and rubble out 24/7 helped people to practise balancing to please the passersby and encounter the sacred/everyday forces an equilibrator works with. So now there are more friends in the mix becoming and being spiritual balancers in this city's core.

Meanwhile, somewhere.

Look for the stone pagoda's on Queen st. near Spadina today Sat. June the 13th. We will start sometime after 3 pm or so.
Yesterdays balance ceremony happened on Bloor st. at Bruinswick. People joined in and it was engaging. Lady A was present with her friend Mike, they added some music to the evening. Himy showed up and did some T. (tee dot, himy's website) photography . Artist Steve griffith and his friend showed up and tried some balancing and now we are discussing a collaborative effort(painting words or symbols on the balances).

Many years ago, sitting on a rock outcropping in a forested ravine of s.Ont., this one had a vision. I thought the world had ended, It seemed as if there was an earthquake or a bomb going off, the ground was churning, the light was different, I leaped to avoid being churned up in the rocks. When my feet landed, the perspective on the rock outcropping this one had been sitting on had shifted and a large rock head and face was now apparent. I don't mean it kinda looked like a face, this WAS a giant stone face. The huge native face radiated a fatherly kindness. The rocks that were the mouth moved to talk and began grinding and speaking in a very deep grinding gravel-ly voice. The giant rock face said " Invent a game for the children" and the vision ended as suddenly as it had begun.

Stone balancing can be approached as the play of a child. Playing with the type of playful seriousness that happens when growth and awareness are occurring for one. Many haven't played this way since childhood. As a child I used to spend hours building sand castles at the beach. Stone balancing is just like that. Come play!

Come grow, play, you are the buddha!

Gallery Arcturus

We will be standing stones up outside Gallery Arcturus this summer. Here is some info from them:

Gallery Arcturus is a not-for-profit contemporary art exhibition and art education centre located in downtown Toronto. It is funded and operated by The Foundation for the Study of Objective Art, a private charity.

The gallery is an oasis of peace in the midst of a busy city. The space has been carefully designed to provide an opportunity for uninterrupted contemplation of visual art without the pressures of commercial galleries and without the admission charges typical of other public galleries. Light, colour and proportion have been used to create an atmosphere suitable for acccessing subtle impressions and insights which are usually obscured by the impact of the urban landscape.

The gallery also provides an outstanding opportunity for contemporary visual artists to display their work without the pressures of commercial considerations. The gallery seeks to exhibit works which engage the viewer's sensations and feelings in a movement toward self-transcendence. The gallery has a view about what art is for: that art is for exploring the larger context of what it means to be human. purify- center and take a mouthful of water and swirl it around your mouth intending and imagining the water cleaning your whole body, physical and non-physical. Spit out the water while thanking the element water.

energize- center and breathe in clean clear energy, breathe out stale waste energy. intoning "maaah" on the inbreath, and "naaaaaaaaah!" on the outbreath. Breathe deeply, fully and completely.

harmonize- Free your voice! Make a loving offering of sound to where you are. While smiling to your heart, Intone sung appropriate spontaneous words or even just the vowels, vibrating them powerfully until your own song emerges.

Now we awaken the sleeping stones, we awaken to the sacred. Journey to the center to find the whole. We offer a stone circle ceremony to honour the web of creation and the mysteries.

The point,
human consciousness,
ordinary everyday consciousness that we have,
leaves out more than it takes in.
It leaves out things that if we did know them
we would have a deep interior peace.

The real dirt is what is left out
and our ordinary consciousness screams this.
Our sense organs are receptive. We have a small band to which the human is sensate. Outside the band of our spectrum the universe is an infinite variety of vibration beyond even our most advanced instumentation.

What do I see? I see People.

There are the people, behind the people are the buildings and behind that the earth and sky and world and I've forgotten something, and who am I ?
The thing thats been left out , the thing i've been
taught to ignore,
deep deep inside I am the whole works, a manifestation of the whole blinkin forever and ever god tao verb-thingy

Im not alone in it, i am that i am, i came out of it!

Individual liberation and evolution can far exceed that of the host herd.
Being a messed up human being is a pattern of nature like a seashell or a wave which never have a single aesthetic fault. All are absolutely gorgeous. Eyes are gems beyond compare.

Artist is a human who makes hir living by playing in public at a given time by appointment. To play on demand is to contrive a controlled accident. abracadabra!

Play your role that goes with your human machine but dont be a drag, dont survive just to survive, what a compulsive attitude, lets have some fun.

My thinking could be more than ruminating if i bring my feelings and sensing and thinking together as one, I know deeply. Have you ever known anyone with more joie de vivre than most and wondered how they are so liberated? Well you are really the only one here, dancing with myself.
So at some point I shattered and realised all self restriction of my inner god(super ego maybe) was stuffed in there by a bunch of suffering fools, who are also me, when i was two-11 years old.
Everything except perhaps not stealing others property and not initiating violence, taking the shared load of all humanity before being self serving, and courtesy like not playing music loud enough to wake my neighbors are the only things really necessary for our civilisation of me to operate. All the rest, tens of thousands of inner and outer laws, are purely arbitrary. A bunch of b.s.(belief system).
If god only needed 10 laws why do I need 100000? All of law and culture is empty made up work with no basis in reality. A bunch of huey that would never stand up without the monopoly on force and violence behind it. I can be told word after word about why and how inner and civilian laws operate, but I have never been shown an actual real existing reason with any clarity, and so these words and works are fantasy to me now. It is hard for me to impartially observe the limits of our collective stupidity, I must be collectively stupid. It seems like an endless dollar fantasy that has me and most humans by the short hairs. It seems I and my society has set up as a system of control where the inner or outer authorities have conditioned Me to police myself through the inculcation of the super ego structures. I censor everything within myselves mostly without my own awareness. Sometimes I fear many internal and external I's of identity would rather go down with this slave ship than disembark at paradise because the cost of attention is so high and it hurts to brainchange and we are deeply sleeping to avoid the void within. a feeling I feel as a reactive negative mechanical chronic reaction to my reactions at noticing my burning desire for the beloved. I was afraid to feel love and humiliated that i had fear and angry because of that, all automatically without my real presence being involved, and it is looking like this fear of my own truest deepest desires has crippled me in many ways from being myself and reaching full potentials. When I'm not authentically myself I'm a slave to mechanical forces. Waking up from this hypnosis involves taking back my attention and power from where they have been deployed. You do not owe a thief or a murderer internal or external the truth, protect yourself. You are breaking some inner or outer governments law right now and it was simply made up from whole cloth with no basis in reality and they can come and kidnap(imprison) you into a very restrictive space whenever they want.
So now being more free of my own arbitrary conditioning and moving into stable awakening is more desirable than taking drugs or drinking or drifting by sleepliving nose to the grindstoned to avoid fear/pain awareness. I like the state of my brain and etc.(including fear/pain) so much now that an unexamined reliance on alcohol and drugs and meaningless labour for those I disrespectfully/falsely label murderous lying theiving bosses have fallen away. I love all myself and god the one now.
I know I have been the infant terrible within's terror tool. All that restriction taught by so many authorities has been internalised, so I'm going to steal the power from these parts of myself. The parts that feels guilt and shame and anxious and say's should too much.
Don't, don't be frightened about me sacrificing my suffering, be frightened. The body loves a good thrill once in a while. Become who you are, feel what you feel. What do you smell right now? Adore your listening. My fear becomes fearless when i am with it fully. Fearlessly throw off the contamination of fundamental fear. Desire fearlessly.

Some of the things i practised taught and studied during this nomadic zine period were summarized in this listing below.

One begins to observe ones movements and body by focussing all ones attention on a small part of ones body making simple movements. Seeing it, sensing it, knowing it is happening, set up a rhythm, now become aware of emotions too! At this point one is using three centrums! Gradually progress to more complicated movements and timing with more parts of the body. Eventually practice this exercise with every movement in ones every day life.

One learns to consciously relax every part of ones body while being still and sitting or lying down or standing in various positions and eventually even while moving. Start simple and progress. Pick one sitting position and use it consistently. You don't have to use a traditional posture; any that won't injure with prolonged holding are fine. Begin with committing to maintaining absolute stillness no matter what, this will stabilize and quieten ones body initially but becomes a source of force as unconscious squirming and fidgeting tendencies surface. The only way out of these seems to be through them. Break through the barrier however it manifests (itching, pain, tickling, etc.), and it will manifest eventually. Listen to your own heartbeating with pure being attention. Do this initially 3 to 6 times per day for about 5 minutes. Find the times in your schedule that easily lend themselves to this non-activity (subway, buses, waiting rooms, just after waking, just before sleep, etc.)

One learns to breathe consciously fully and deeply in all stages of breathing from a position of physical stability in a variety of rhythms (stick to simple rhythms, don't pass out or harm yourself). Learning circular breathing with a didgeridoo or a 4-6ft. length of 1+ 1/4 a.b.s. plumbing is very useful. Make droning tones by buzzing your lips loosely. Circular breathing will stabilize ones emotions and activate both hemispheres of the brain.

One learns to vocally or subvocally focus ones attention on a repeated word or words or sounds (most choose a divine name or something similar but nonsense or plumbing drone will do). These are vibrated, deeply. One sacrifices ones non-stop flow of inner considerations to stabilize and clear ones mind.

One finds a set of rules or observances to follow. It doesn't matter what they are as long as one finds the way of life that doesn't draw one in to getting excited about the problems and identifications of life. Set up your life to utilize every conventional activity in a different way that challenge your own preconceptions. This stabilizes social and sexual imprinted behaviors as well as beginning one on the path of doing work on self during all of ones life (not just on retreats etc.)

One, having done these things daily, learns to rest longer and longer in eternal stillness and reconciliation.

One "art" we share with others that fills all of these considerations, but remains a behavior separate from ones ordinary human pursuits is the art of rock balancing. The subtleties of rock balancing are best experienced in person. Call if you wish personal coaching.

One learns hypnosis, persuasion, behavioral psychology, and neuro-linguistic programming, to better understand oneself and make one more precise with communications.

One learns a good banishing ritual and protective bubble variations. One learns to bless and exorcise.

One learns to charge up ones energy body daily and connect the center of the earth and the center of the universe to ones center of being.

One learns to consecrate magiqual toolz.

One learns to evoke and invoke theatrically.

One constantly experiments with various forms of gnosis(mild to seething) and sleight of mind magix.

One adopts a symbol system for divination and once it is fully digested, one becomes good enough to charge money for readings.

One learns the inner smile, healing sounds, and microcosmic orbit meditations of taoist esoteric yoga. After practising this for a few months or years One then advances to the macrocosmic orbit and fusion of the five elements practise.

One begins the journey to obtain fifth dan black belt in togakure ryu ninjutsu or master another movement with attention art.

One learns shamanic trance journeying. Progressive relaxation, light, sound and movement trances are explored. One makes journeys to the lower worlds to contact ones power animal and begins to develop relations with underworld beings. In the middle world one goes on quests and journeys, one learns to "see" into other worlds and retrieve data about this world. One flies or climbs to the upper worlds - fly for guidance or just to map sky world's paradise. The 6 stage shape shifting process is also worked with.

One completes three months of the energized meditations developed by C. Hyatt.

One studies and gives performances or lectures based on various cosmologies, or guided by spirits, one develops ones own mythology. One also becomes proficient in reading the american book of the dead by E.J. Gold.

This work is cumulative and accelerates as one progresses. One graduates when one has found a way to include these activities in one's every day. Also one has acheived a greater level of conscious control of ones movements, emotions and ones mind and one has developed a "practical on all levels"(especially this human level) relationship with unseen worlds, beings, energies, the unknown etc.

Remember often the preciousness of this life in which the conditions exist that we might aspire to our perfect completion and renewal as death may lurk around the next turn.

Holographic theories tell us everthing is connected within closed bonded fields. If our neuronal fields are resonant with another implicate field we translate things, people, matter from mind. Intentional art or objective art differs entirely from subjective art. Subjective art arose with the development of western psychology and is typified by the genre of art history and art criticism. With subjective art,as an artist, I was using different media to present a message. I was basically trying to work out my own subjective trip. A person could either agree or disagree or perhaps be changed and challenged in subjective opinion by the experience of my message.

With intentional or objective art the medium is often more simple and essential to the experience being processed by the artist and the observers. This process produces the same emotional experience in all who open to it and perceive it. The artist is sharing the process of creation as revelation.

Our wish with this stone balancing work is that any merit be dedicated to the good of all beings.

Hi friends!
Warm weather brings me back to T.O. to serve as a stone balance ceremonial healer/teacher for all beings and kingdoms/levels. My approach to stone balance art is considered a spiritual (objective)approach and is unlike much of what is considered art(subjective). subjective art has arisen in parallel with the development of psychology and is reflected in the current genre of art critism and art history, and is basically an artist working out their trip with a given media. People viewing are invited to recognise their point of view or anothers. My approach to this art instead uses teachings and methods of awakening perceptions and then looks into the present moment as an unknown to be explored. My balance art is not an answer to anything contemporary, but my own attempt to penetrate the unknown and journey to the center made manifest in stone.

"If You Don't Know Im Not Telling." was the name of the neoshamanic chrrrch of nothnnng's zine/crackpot pamphlet disseminated under the chaotown nomadick dementertainment ministry publishing label. It was distribu-hustled during 1995- 2005 mainly by an eccentric looking interdimensional trouble shooter and karma mechanic who is popularly known by the name of sunjye, although other C.o.N monk-kooks(shamans) and nun-nows(shamankas) have been known to have distributed and or hustled this curazy wizdumb tract. The experience of being approached and ministered to by a futique shaman with first class window seat tickets into other dimensions, disguised as irreligious non-prophet disorganisational crackpot panphlets, was enough to instantly liberate many who were ready. Smallish, with 8 pages to represent the octave and the wheel, and cleverly folded into a book from one piece of paper ( a beatnik method), these bizarrte black and white and later full colour 3d issues featured freaquey collage pix and cut up magickal text experiments. They were offered for whatever price the buyer chose to pay. There were about 50-70 issues released in total, but during our travels many have been lost forever. We are going over this zine thing and making them available one last time before we archive them deep underground and so this blog title links to a page and site about the liberation into the realm of slack media zap of rev. sunjye through artmagick-zine missionz. hYpGnosis and Techno-Shazam-manism

Altered states of consciousness are one key to magick and shamanism. We will speak on other keys at a later blog.

magick = willed change.

shamanism= the craft of being a multi dimensional entity.

There are many ways to experience an altered state of consciousness, some extreme, some safer.

One safer method is self hypnosis.

One will be developing a reciprocal relation with unknown facets of self while in a self induced trance, which only you control.

One develops the skills in a gradual systematic way. A way that builds upon itself and becomes richer and more powerful the more one does it.

Here is one personalities way of developing self hypnosis ability.

Remember others have gone into the unknown before and left good maps. Also remember stress is the #1 cause of disease and that this type of relaxation technique is therefore good for whatever ails you and practised daily will increase your health and enjoyment of life.

Find the passageways to altered states, may this serve to point the way.

A quick method of obtaining predominantly Alpha rythms in the brain(light trance)

1 look up , keeping eyes open until they tire, then say " eyelids heavy" and close them while imagining a wave of relaxation descend from your head down, and keep imagining another wave of warmth and profound relaxation with each exhalation.

2 say to yourself "eyelids heavy, relax completely" while sensing and relaxing all the small muscles around the eyes and still imagining a wave of warm relaxing energy descend through your body with each exhalation.

3 say to yourself " eyes sealed and, completely relaxed now" while imagining and sensing yourself to be so deeply relaxed that your eyelids feel sealed shut and too heavy to open.

4 enjoy your relaxed expanded state and return to ordinary consciousness at will. etc.

ok, lets try another longer induction method, this is one of the first i came across(from a theosophical tradition).

Read this into a sound recorder and play it back to yourself while sitting in a straight backed chair with both feet flat on ground and hands in lap. If you have the neuro programmer software you can save it as a suggestion and play it back with an alpha entrainment protocol.

Plan to do this and other meditational activities around the same time each day if possible, but doing these activities every day is necessary for development.

ok, so, sitting as instructed with hands face up on lap and before listening to the following script prepare in this way:

Perform the above rapid entrancing method. Keep eyes closed.

Tense and observe than relax and observe each body part in turn one at a time starting with the feet and moving up to the head . Take a few minutes to complete this and relax completely. if any part becomes tense tell it to relax, e.g. "Relax neck".

Press play on your recorder(adjust volume in advance!).

script (preread in a slow drawl into a recorder)

Step onto your own private elevator, turn to face the doors, and watch them shut. Inhale, Exhale and drift down to 5,5,5.(Visualise and repeat the numbers) Inhale exhale and descend gently to 4,4,4. Inhale Exhale and drift down to 3,3,3. Inhale Exhale and float slowly down down down to 2,2,2. Inhale exhale and descend down deeper to 1,1,1. Inhale Exhale, and go down down down deeper deeper deeper to B,B,B.
Your elevator doors open now and you step out into a shaft of light that shines down on you from above.
You are now in the healthiest possible state of being.
In this relaxed expanded trance state You and you alone will control your mind. only positive suggestions and influences in perfect ecology with the whole of your being and directed by you can affect you now in this trance state.
With your eyes still closed, imagine before you a mental film screen. The surface of the film screen may be light or dark, but picture it in your minds eye. Then allow whatever images that come to flash across the screen.
After a few minutes, erase your screen and focus on blankness. If some thought stuff attempts to cross your screen, lower any resistance and allow it to pass. Firmly but gently bring the screen back to blankness.
After keeping your screen blank for as long as possible, say : "You are now in the healthiest possible state of being" (pause) "In this state you are completely relaxed deeply now."(pause) "If you wish too make any adjustments to be more comfortable and relaxed do it now, so that you are even more deeply, comfortably relaxed.(long pause)
"In this healthiest possible state of being, you are absorbing good energy from the atmosphere"(long pause) "When you bring yourself out of this state you will be completely refreshed as if after a really good nights restful sleep after a month on vacation"(long pause)"Your body will feel as if newly made, with every part in fabulous perfect working order"(long pause)" Your mind will be flexible, innovative and open to learning and whatever you see, whatever you hear whatever your read will be understood and utilized harmoniously." (pause) "You will be bursting with youthful energy"(pause) " You will be filled with joy- a joy that will last for days." (long pause).
Now step back into your private elevator to bring yourself back up to normal waking consciousness.
Your elevator door closes and you inhale and come up, up, up to 1,1,1. Exhale and inhale and float all the way up to 2,2,2. Exhale and inhale and ascend up up up to 3,3,3. Exhale, and inhale and come all the way up now to 4,4,4.
Your lift doors open and you open your eyes wide awake feeling great.

These are good starting points. Perform these techniques a few times over the next few days. Consider doing this or a similar relaxation trance technique for at least 30 days as it takes around 30-40 days practise to really get the hang of it.

This hyp-gnosis blog will be underconstruction for some time and will contain a slew of techniques that develop from the above techniques. Rather than start a different blog for each new entry i will expand this here bloggy. We will first learn some other induction methods and deepening techniques. then we will learn to set up ideo-motor questioning techniques to put questions to various parts of our sub-conscious and super-conscious(the underworld and sky world of shamanic cosmologies?), we will discuss, and provide samples of, all manner of hypnotic suggestions and guided journeys and other visualisations. We said we wanted you to quest blind to see if you could somehow find the right resources by following your gnows sis. Well one of the softwares you may have found is called virtual hypnotist. So, hopefully by now, you have researched all kinds of trance inductions and deepening techniques. Next we will try something a little different, an exercise to develop the minds eye(visualisation).
Choose a time when you will be undisturbed.
Sit or lay comfortably.
Breathe, let go and relax.
Close your eyes and imagine you are in a dark room, in front of a large white screen. For a few moments allow nothing to intrude on the empty white expanse, totally blank.
(This monotonous activity will induce a light trance)
Now, in your minds eye create a picture of a clear empty glass and project it onto the screen.
When the glass is as clear and 3 dimensional as you can get it, visualise it filled with orange juice.
Now add some ice cubes.
Now add a straw.
now project a caption underneath the glass, "Juice".
Change the font and colour of the text a few times.
Change to different liquids and recaption it again, etc.

do this for ten to 20 minutes a day for 5 days then add this,

Now visualise your kitchen or bathroom.
Gradually build up a strong 3 dimensional detailed representation.
Move into your picture and interact with things as you would in daily life for about twenty minutes.

Do the above kitchen step for 14 days for a half hour a day before proceeding to da next step.

Visualise your own sacred nature temple.
Make it richly detailed and real with the power of your mind.
Come back to it again and again whenever the opportunity arises until it takes on a reality of its own.
Now visualise your own highest and truest enlightened guide appearing in the temple in whatever form occurs to you. Interact with the guide in a way that seems appropriate.

finish by intending to return and then remember the conditions in the space your physical form is in and open your eyes saying" wide awake wide awake feeling bathed in love, enlightened, divinely realised and, refreshed and relaxed".

natural exercise Arouse yourself from sleep tonight at 3 am . Have a pen and paper or voice recorder ready to record your dreams. Allow yourself to drift back to sleep while holding hand and forearm upwards at a 45 degree angle to your upper arm and elbow which still rest on your bed . As you fall into deep sleep your hand and forearm will fall causing you to startle. Write down or record what you were thinking about or dreaming.

To answer a question merely intend to do so before dreaming and be sure to write your question down in notebook or record. After dreaming you may meditate on the dream symbols meanings in relation to the question.

techno shamanic exercise: Use this exercise near a computer that is online and dream yourself online. A website with abstract happy animation or something similar are good media to start with. Face the screen so that it would be visible should you open your eyes. Record all experiences.

When one gazes at plants it is very relaxing. Eventually with relaxed purrsistance they seem to move and plant visions appear. This is an indication of purrrceiving with ones energy body.

Trees also are good to gaze at. See if you can let the vision go on without returning to ordinary purrrception for a short time. If non ordinary awareness intrudes too forcefully or makes you lose you balance(on any level) a good cold shower should bring you back to ordinary purrception.

Once at a party in a room full of people i practised gazing at a house plant right in front of me. Shortly the plant started sprouting towards me rapidly and wrapped all around me then suddenly withdrew spinning me and giving me a vision of everybody in the room rapidly strobing into different bodies races sexes, this was amusing because some of the people were definitely racists and they became every race and sexual orientation. I started to react to this by self consciously laughing, rather than just being empty and observing and at this point my body lost balance and this brought me back to ordinary purrception.
